Nicole Duffell was classically trained from an early age on clarinet, alto and tenor saxophones. After graduating from the West Australian Conservatorium, majoring in jazz, Nicole started her professional career in Blues & R &B bands. Tours with R&B bands continued internationally but Nicole began to call Singapore home since 2002 eventually focusing more on jazz. Almost 10 years ago, Nicole started a long jazz residency at well-known whisky venue B28, eventually taking over and running the venue as a jazz club until 2017.

Nicole is known for her rich tenor sound, emotional depth and inventive use of melodies- she is now a stalwart of the SE Asia jazz scene and continues her journey to dig deeper into the jazz tradition.
